thebigbenman 12 years ago #4. there's no battle being fought in auto resolve. the computer will take your stack and the enemy's stack and fight them unit-by-unit, in order from left to right, winner moves on to fight the next unit, etc. it seems to pretend it's all close range melee and rely on those stats, so heavy armored infantry do great
As the Mongols go around, take pot-shots at their generals. Keep training assassins - yes, it will ruin Sultan's reputation but better tainted than defeated. Spread their armies thin. Mongols win easily because for every army you attack, there are 3-4 other stacks standing right behind to reinforce.
